How do I book my ground transportation?

Everything you need to know about your ground transportation in Baja can be found here.

Workshop Participants

Your ground transportation from/to SJD is included in your tuition. Here are some tips to make your travel to campus smooth:

  • Please add your flight details to your Campus Profile and our amazing Hospitality Team will coordinate your shuttle on your behalf. Please ensure this is done at least one week prior to your workshop start date.
  • Your ground transportation details with our partner Todos Private Transportation will be confirmed by the end of the day, Friday prior to your workshop start date. How to find your driver/shuttle will be emailed to you then.
  • Tips are very much appreciated, but not expected.
  • Trust you're in great hands and if you have questions about your transportation arrangements, you can email our team at hospitality@modernelderacademy.com.

Note: If you're arriving before or staying after your workshop's start/end date, you will be responsible for the transportation fee of $160 per person, payable directly to your driver. However, our team will coordinate this on your behalf!

Sabbatical Sessions Participants

Your ground transportation from/to SJD is in addition to your weekly rate at $160 each way per person, payable directly to your driver.

Tip: Message Todos Private Transportation on their Contact page to request MEA's special rate of $160 each way and schedule your shuttle.

Renting a Car

You DO NOT need a car during your stay with us. But if you choose to rent a car, namely if you are extending your stay in Mexico before or after your workshop, we strongly recommend BBB Rent a Car or Cactus. While the cars may not be fancy, the pricing is straightforward and fair.

Nighttime driving is not recommended, particularly on your first visit. Sunset in winter can be as early as 5:30. Exciting driving challenges include livestock, terrible and non-existing signage and lighting, and creatively interpreted driving laws and wildly varying levels of vehicular soundness. Luckily, the roads are relatively new.
